The Good: Nice design, great service, location, cozy lounge (albeit it's hard to find space it's always so full). The Bad: Super loud (can hear your neighbors using water, closing their door, talking.. light sleepers won't get any sleep) and super tiny rooms (we got the upgraded queen size and there was still only a foot around the bed; there wasn't even enough room for two small carry-on suitcases in the room!). Not eco friendly (disposable plastic shampoo bottles, tea in toxic plastic tea bags, nothing organic, water pressure that is almost painful). We left early because I couldn't sleep due to the hallway and neighbor noise, and got a charming room 3 times the size for half the price at another hotel. Note for the hotel: If you made a true effort to be sustainable (fixed refillable amenities, organic food and loose leaf tea, regulated water pressure, etc), I would give you extra stars.

Definitely favorite place in the Village to stay. I do believe they could charge more for the stay, just need to advertise more. Decor upon entry is beautiful. This place is centrally located for some of the best dinning in the Village, not to mention the proximity to everything NYC. Lobby bar is superb with excellent bar service. Food is probably a 4, but the ambience is a 5. Quiet mornings are it here. Like the rest of NY, rooms are small, but quaint and clean. Beds is rate a 4. Bathrooms also small. Overall however the stay doesn’t make you feel claustrophobic, since the comfort level is up there. Lobby is also very cozy and boutique style. Highly recommend this place compared to most, given the sampling of 20+ hotels that I’ve stayed at in the City.

Excellent location. Position A1. After this it all goes downhill. For $500.00 per night you expect a half decent room with half decent service. Not so apparently. 1. The rooms are very small and cramped even by NYC standards. The clothing storage space is inadequate. There was a huge ceiling pendant light which even if you are 5ft5 (165cm) you still knock your hands into. There is a useless wall mounted TV in the corner which again gets in the way. Also they had a huge chunky stool again getting in the way. The bathroom was not much better. Water leaked from the shower outside to flood the floor. The basin tap protruded far too much and there were no hooks near the shower to hang your towel. Additionally no lock on the bathroom door! 2. The customer service in general was apathetic/indifferent. None of the staff who all looked miserable by the way ever asked us about our stay, how it was going or how it was at the end after paying $2500.00 in total for 5 nights. 3. The complimentary breakfast for guests is cheeky to say the least. They have basic items on the complimentary options side and then all the stuff you really want to eat like a basic omelette with avocado is a la carte. The pastry basket items in the complimentary section were like rocks. This method of sneakily upselling is underhand. 4. The lobby atmosphere is vibrant however if you are a guest it is awful. There are dozens of individuals and groups hanging around the lobby all day with their laptops and phones, using the area as their workspace. When my friend and I on the odd occasion wanted to have a seat after a long day traipsing around Manhattan, there was no seating to be found. There should be designated seating for hotel guests. In general they do not care whether you are a guest paying $500.00 a night or someone who spends $2.00 on a herbal tea and sits in the lobby for 6 hours, you are all treated the same and albeit poorly. The Marlton should be and cold be a fantastic hotel given its amazing Greenwich Village location but it falls well short. Major improvements required across the board.

Sweet, dark hotel bar. They made me an excellent aperol spritz. Friendly staff. I've also had their guest breakfast which was ok, nothing special. Good place to get some work done or some quiet reading. Really lovely individual bathrooms.

I come here to study at the lounge. It's chill and quaint. Service is a little iffy, but once you get the staff's attention they're very attentive afterward
