Best restaurant I have been to in a long time! I went with a friend and we shared four dishes between us. They were served one at a time and each one blew us away - amazing flavours and innovative use of ingredients. Great atmosphere and excellent wine list (very important!). Highly recommend.

Delicious food with great details on the flavors. Service can be a bit spotty sometimes, but I think that's due to how popular and busy this spot is. Personally, I prefer coming here alone and sitting at the bar, never had any issues there. But if you wanna come with people then better make a reservation. Beautiful ambiance, and great location in the heart of Ballard, which also means parking is not fun, so plan ahead. They just started brunch service Sundays, and it hasn't disappointed. Excellent happy hour choices if you are watching the budget as well.

I was blown away by Sawyers. Dined by myself and treated royally. A special shout out to Katy, my waitress, who was so sweet and accommodating. 5 stars to her alone! Ask for her section when you dine

Our server, Erin, was awesome! Super helpful. Disappointed right when we got there the host/hostess told us they needed our table back in one hour. The food came out within 3 minutes of us ordering (they really wanted us to keep things moving lol). The food was creative, however, it was very salty and the dishes were interestingly priced for how small they were. Also maybe we got a bad dish but I would not order the gnocchi, it was pure mush. Not sure I’ll go here again, the ambiance is as pretty cool but I felt uncomfortable and unwelcome as the person who informed us they needed the table in an hour passed by our table and looked at us as if we needed to wrap things up after 50 minutes.

The food, as always, is amazing. The service is half good. Depends on the day. They have hipster too-good-to-serve you types and then true hospitalitarians. The beverage program needs a serious boost to match the quality of the food. It is severely lacking.
