The waiter deleted my wife’s order by accident. Everyone at the table was served except my wife. He then put the order back in and my wife ate late. Although mistakes can take place, all employees should be engaged in getting things right the first time. Educate the staff over and over again to make sure that customers are taken care of properly. As a top retail operator in the country in my industry, this infuriated me. So simple, but not done properly and no accountability for excellence. If I were the person running this business, staff would feel comfortable telling a manager “I messed up” , manager go to table, apologize and then create a learning moment for the server. Good food... yes, but you need to create a consistent world class customer experience. It’s the little things that make a BIG difference!! It’s just not serving people food, it’s creating a fun, exceptional experience that is right 100% of the time. Time to elevate your employee expectations and then hold everyone accountable for their actions.

Absolutely loved this place!! The atmosphere is unbeatable. There was a long wait but we got some drink from the bar and went and sat on the beach and enjoyed the amazing scenery! Our waitress Lauren was great! Super sweet and attentive! I got the grouper Guadalupe and it was amazing! My husband got the red snapper and said it was very tasty! We also got chicken wings as an appetizer and they were the best I have had in a long time!!

Pompano Joe's is amazing! Great food and service. Like other reviews mentioned, they can get very busy. We arrived at about 4:15 and were told it would be a 30-45 minute wait, but we only ended up waiting 20 minutes which was wonderful. You have a great view of the ocean while you eat as well.

Let me start by saying that the wait is well worth it. The food was great a little pricey but worth it. The server was great she was very helpful and was great with the kids. If you like mixed drinks and hanging out on the beach this is the place for you. Will definitely be returning on my next trip.

Open air, covered dining, weather permitting. Our waitress was exceptional and could even be a tour guide! Food was great, both kids meals and adult dinners. Intriguing drinks as well. We had a fun, relaxed meal watching the beach and enjoying a breeze. Must eat place in Destin. Parking is full daily until perhaps 6 or 7, when the public beach empties. We had to park at our condo and walk the .8 miles, and it was definitely worth the effort.
