Great place to put your kayak in. You can explore Dutchman's Creek, paddle up to the lower side of Mountain Island Dam or go down river to check out Long Creek and the National While Water Center.

This is a nice place to put in to the Catawba. It's just south of the Mountain Island dam, and it's fairly wide at this location. The nearby tressils are quite picturesque, so you have an easy landmark to find upon your return and there is plenty of parking area for your truck/trailer
