3801 Panoramic Hwy, Mill Valley, CA 94941, USA
We walked the Matt Davis trail halfway through. It was a beautiful and green steep hill with many stairs. We reached an open place with dried grass at the end. There are small bridges, a creek, a great scenery of the ocean and a huge rock called table rock on our way. You might also notice fragrant herbs such as peppermint. When we trekked, it was very foggy until the late afternoon. We saw a mystical light shaft when the fog was clearing. The sunset was very beautiful. It was also nice that we could trek listening to the waves.
Simply said one of the most beautiful places in the world. Go see it for yourself. Now that fall is here and Winters on the way. Bring layers of clothing in a backpack so you can strip down as your day progresses. On a really good day I've seen people get totally but naked yowser
Unbelievable awesome site. The drive up and downhill is a experiance for itself. The few to the bay, the pacific and the hills is stunning. Plan to stay the most part of the day and you will have a good time.
We had a wonderful time walking among the redwoods. For how many cars were traveling on the Panoramic Highway, we were pleasantly surprised at how few people were hiking once we got a little bit away from the parking lot. We went on a hike recommended by the ranger on duty at the Pantoll Station. He sent us off on a hike that he said was about 3 miles. We think it was more like 4 miles based on our apps etc., but nevertheless it was great. The first half was almost entirely downhill, and the return portion of the loop was all up a pretty steep grade. It was more than we bargained for but we made it!!
Beautiful park with moderate to challenging hikes. Come early you’ll find plenty of parking $8 cash. Nice bathrooms. Great views and a ton of trails to take. We hiked down to Muir Woods And came back up, mostly shaded. There is camping sites too.
