This is an amazing garden! Located in the city but when you enter the garden it seems like you are in a Japanese forest. Very well maintained and the trails are very easy for most everyone. My family and I spent a very enjoyable day wandering the park. A lot of places within the park are great to enjoy a sack lunch. I highly recommend a visit!
You get what you expect and more! A nice walk, a variety of plant life, beautiful views and more. On a rainy day, the wide spectrum of colors radiate magnificently. On a sunny day, it's a lovely place to have a picnic with a loved one. Dogs are welcome on a leash. Make sure to keep your personal volume to between .5 and 2, so you can feel the energy of the garden.
Two words; beautiful and CROWDED! We arrived at 4:30 on a dry Saturday afternoon and practically had to fight for a parking space. (literally) The gardens are especially gorgeous in autumn but crowds of people at every turn makes it difficult to fully appreciate the beauty and inner calm that Kubota garden usually inspires. I would suggest visiting during the week or when it's barely raining for a proper experience.
Beautiful garden, esp in spring and fall. Peaceful and filled with the sounds of falling water and birds. A wonderful escape in the middle of a big city. Come and stroll through the numerous paths and hidden spaces.
This is an incredible place. It quaint self contained park. There is nothing outside or off theme that takes you out of it. The city do a great job maintaining it. It easy to get lost inside the park but that just allows you to enjoy it longer. This park is off the beaten path and the immediate neighborhood is cool, so everyone here wants to enjoy the park and nothing much else. Even if you don't have an appreciation for Japanese style, it is still pleasant experience.
