Great place to go with a small group of friends for dinner. Good food - inventive, fresh ingredients and large enough portions. The tables are separated enough that you can have a private conversation and the level of noise does not distract. Attentive service. Recommend the salmon pot

Top Japanese restaurant in nyc! The food, service and environment are all like what you expect. The ingredients are fresh and delicate with good taste. Really love the desert.

This place was a complete miss for us. I think things went south when we chose to order sparkling water, no drinks. I don't know if they thought we were then going to be cheap or what, but we shouldn't be slighted because someone in our party was trying to stay sober. Our table chose the 7-course chef's menu. The food was fine, but the timing of each course was way off. We waited 25 minutes before asking about the status of the next course - two arrived at the same time about five minutes later. The service was unfriendly and haughty, and they dropped the bill off without even a "thanks." I would NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone unless you want to drop $200+ for uneven, rude service. You can get that elsewhere for much less money.

Amazing food. Little on pricier side but worth the experience. Definitely go for prefix menu.. tofu dishes are amazing and good option for vegetarians as well. Staff was helpful and were able to substitute some stuff.
