Such a lovely place to walk around, sit down, enjoy the beauty. My friend and I went for the orchid exhibit and wound up buying roses from the rose competition being held there. Such a nice surprise as we both love roses. And we walked into the orchid conservatory and were quite pleased by all the varieties!
Very colorful and peaceful place. The staff members we encountered were very courteous. The grounds are beautiful and you could really spend a day walking through each and every little trail. Definitely a place I will frequent multiple times throughout the year.
My wife and I went on a hot Sunday afternoon. There weren't many people there, so, it made it very pleasant to walk around and enjoy all of the floral and arboreal presentations at our own rate of speed. Clearly, management takes a lot of pride in maintaining the facility. We went there specifically to see the hand blown glass that was present all over the trails. It was amazing. The glass blower made beautiful flowers of all types and sizes. He is truly extremely talented. I highly recommend that you go when you have plenty of time to take in the scenery and simply enjoy life.
It's a beautiful relaxing environment. All your stress is gone, once you walk through those doors. The Orchid Conservatory is amazing and you can smell a chocolate orchid. Spend the day out here and you honestly will be totally relaxed.
We wanted to see something different in the Charlotte area so decided to check out DSBG. What a treat! The gardens are so well laid out, with beautiful vistas around each bend. There are lots of benches scattered around the grounds, so it’s accessible for everyone. It was a hot day so all the fountain features were most welcome. The gardens and orchid house were decorated with gorgeous glass pieces; I think they’re illuminated at night but we were only there in daytime. We also enjoyed the butterfly bungalow—so many beautiful butterflies to see! In all, a wonderful afternoon!
