Crab Trap, Fort Walton Beach

The Crab Trap is well located on the beach with other restaurants attached to the Boardwalk. Went their for the view of the sunset and got excellent seats for observing that phenomenon. The gumbo was tasty and properly spiced. Also did the crab dip with pita bread and was enjoyable plus very filling. Tried some different drinks like margaritas, long island ice tea plus some wine. All were fine. Service was friendly and prompt. This is not busy season so we were not fighting large crowds, which is a plus. Overall a place worth checking out.

Food was great. I got the fried snapper and shrimp which was amazing and bug portions. My girl got the lobster and shrimp roll which was super packed with fresh shrimp and sauteed lobster. The location was absolutely amazing. We got to look out over the water while enjoying our meal. The best choice for nice environment and great fresh tasting food. Not to mention our server was simply outstanding. I will update with servers name as soon as I locate my receipt. Definitely worth a try.

The food is amazing. The chicken Cajun pasta is spot on the taste and right amount of spices and heat. The catch of the day my hubby had was a red snapper and had it blackened. According to him it was amazing. We loved the food. Our server was very accommodating and served us extra hush puppies when we said it was nice. Overall a great food.

The crab legs don’t have much flavor at all. They taste like they were only boiled in water, no seasonings. The crab & shrimp linguine was decent but for the quality and portion size, it’s way overpriced. The hot crab dip was great. We came from Houston and if you’re use to seafood like that area, this place is not for you.

My wife and I visited on June 14th, 2021 on a Monday night. There was a minor snafu with the seating but David the Manager quickly remedied the situation. Scott , the Bartender was quick with refreshments. Thanks to these two gentleman for a nice evening and their professionalism. The food is outstanding, David had recommended a crab that is larger and sweeter than normal, and it was over the top good. I had visited this same restaurant maybe 6 years prior, and it is just as good now as I remember then. Excellent Service , food and drinks. Thank You!!
