We started from the Main Park Entrance and walked through Castle Rock Falls and Goat Rock. Both are mostly shaded courses. There are spots that offer beautiful mountains views. We climbed a rock on the path several times (it’s pretty easy). It was a very interesting trekking course. The new parking lot is very big and the fee is $10. The restrooms are clean.

Great park! Fun trails, and great views. Also good places to do rock climbing, if that's your thing. Also, I wouldn't say this is an easy tail at all, be prepared to do a bit of climbing through rocks if you want to get past the waterfall overlook.

Had a great hike here! Would avoid it on a very hot day as a significant enough part of the trail we did was exposed. The new parking area is very nice and convenient.

Get there early on the weekends or you could be waiting for parking for hours. :( Wish they would make more parking. No dogs allowed. It's northern CA trees, hiking and rock climbing. How could it get any better. haha Probably why it's always so crowded.

Castle rock is so immersive. I happened to stumble across a Bee nest while hiking, Kim and I did a meditation not five feet away from it. Clean, clear, and full of scenic beauty as far as the eye can see.
