My boyfriend and I had a great time at the recent 3 year anniversary bash - thank you! I'm not much of a beer person myself, but I did try one I loved, and I had an amazing blueberry cider. I'm sure we'll be coming back in the future.
It's a lovely place! It has a very modern rustic feel, my dad loved the beer he got. the service/atmosphere was great!
Located near uptown but across I-77, Blue Blaze is a great place to bring a friend, your dog and grab a beer and some food (if there's a food truck - see their website for what/when). When I was there it was busy, small yoga group inside, lots of seating inside on the first floor with a bar in the rear and a little lounge area up the stairs if your looking for something more quiet! The outside has even more tables, including picnic tables on the rear lawn, water for your dog and a chillin' unwind after a long day atmosphere! My favorite beer is the Carolina Thread Trail IPA. Located near the Irwin Creek and Stewart Creek Greenway and less than a mile from Third Ward's Frasier Park if your walking or biking over!
I don't drink beer, but this is definitely my favorite brewery in Charlotte. To start with, they offer some good non-beer options. They have both cider and kombucha which is nice. People I go with seem to enjoy the beer as well. The atmosphere is very laid back. They have games on the tables. The even provide complimentary snores materials for customers to use with the fire pits they have outside. The real reason why I love this brewery is their focus on outdoor activities. I recently went to a backpacking workshop series that they're hosting which was awesome. They have a hiking club. They're sponsoring a trail angel camping event in the spring. All of their events are awesome and something you won't find around town. You'll see the hiking and outdoors theme carry over to the decor as well. There's no food, but they frequently have a food truck on site. If you haven't been, I would recommend checking it out. It's one of Charlotte's more unique breweries.
This is a great place with very good beer. A quick stop there today but we really did enjoy it. Food truck and free popcorn!
