Typically, if there is a problem or an error you begin your sentence with "My apologies, unfortunately we are not able to accommodate, we sincerely apologize" or offer an alternative solution or near similar solution to what was requested, because good resolution are key to great customer satisfaction" but not here taking ownership seem like a concept that was not addressed with the staff during training. We attempted to place an order for pickup via phone and was told the order won't be ready until 45min-1hour which was reasonable since our party was still asleep. We were placed on hold then after 10min the phone was disconnected. Not a big deal could be there were busy or more than likely it was an accidentally disconnected. So, we got in our car and drove a mere 5min across the property to the restaurant to place our order. I went to the bar to place my order. I waited about 10min when a young lady asked if anyone was picking up a Togo order. The party in front of me said they were ording drinks while waiting to be seated. I then advise I was waiting to place a to go order and that when the lack of customer service Training was on full display. She began by "yelling I am not taking anymore Togo order I just had several Grub Hub order, one of my chef just quit No more order that it" the young lady had a telephone in her hand so I assumed she was the person who disconnected the phone earlier. The party at the bar were all in disbelief so was I. She offer no apology, no attempts to be concerned that her behavior represents a business that employs her. I thanked her and left. Soft skills training really needed here..
Told 45-minute wait, took one hour. Took almost 2 hours for our breakfast. They ran out of potatoes for 2 of our meals. Pancakes and biscuits were dry. Ingredients used were all processed tasting. Orange juice not fresh. Grits tasted like sulfur. Order of sausage was one tiny patty. Server was nice and did the best possible with the situation. Received a 10% "locals" discount for the problems.
Wasn't really happy with this place. Sure my taste in food maybe different then yours but I wasn't pleased with the server. Not gonna mention her name but she was very inattentive. It was a rainy Wednesday morning so not much traffic. She took our order and someone else had to bring it out to us. When she finally did stop by our table she was surprised to see that someone had already gotten us our food. We were halfway done with our breakfast by time she found this out. While she did offer us a refill on our drinks, she offered them to us as a to go drink. We felt like she wanted us to leave right away. We do like to relax a little after a meal but she made us feel rushed and not welcomed to stay.
Excellent service and delicious food. We were looking for a local spot as a break from the resort daily spread. This was the perfect find and everyone was happy - kids and adults. Mike was one of the kindest, most thoughtful and pleasant servers we’ve come across. Will definitely return.
Delicious food. A bit of a wait but well worth it! Waitress was super nice and prices were reasonable.
