Quay Road Trevaunance Cove, St Agnes, Saint Agnes TR5 0RU, UK
My colleague and I popped in between appointments for a quick lunch yesterday and were very impressed. The service was great, the view spectacular and the food was freshly prepared, imaginative and delicious. The Crispy Aubergine was a revelation (and I don't even like aubergine!)
Great view of the sea, very welcoming staff (especially with our hyperactive little girl) and the food was awesome! Contrary to what other reviews say I actually found the price to be pretty reasonable for what was on my plate kids plates are pretty big too. The tapas sizes are bigger than we expected so the whole experience was great! Well recommended and would definitely come again
We were highly recommended this place to dine at. We didn’t get off to a great start when we arrived ahead of our booking time and we were forgotten about, despite being told “we will let you know when your table is ready” when we bought drinks beforehand. We had to ask if our table was ready 20 minutes after our booking time and when we did, the response was “oh I don’t know anything about your booking, I’ll find out”. We were then told “Your table is ready when you are” which was a bit of insult considering we had been left waiting for 35 minutes and told to wait outside on the veranda which was getting chilly by then for an 8.15pm booking. The service was okay but we had to wait quite a while for three tapas dishes. Overall, not the best experience. However the view was lovely. One point we’d like to make to you Schooners, if you book a window table with a sea view, shouldn’t both people be able to see the view? Turn your seating around so both people get a view! Easy solution!
We had great food (lots of yum seafood) and good service. The location and the view was awesome. It would have been great if both of us could have had the view while eating however (tables are set up so one persons back is to the big window looking over the ocean).
Great food and location right on the beach. A great way to finish the day with the sun on the cliffs and the waves crashing below. Little plates all delicious, particularly the aubergine.
