Boy this has changed since l used to go there in the 60's and 70's. In those days it was like going into a big library. Now it's vibrant, full of people really appreciating the.books and atmosphere. There is a great food area all very clean lines .People on their laptops or reading. Food good coffee great.
Mandatory stop for booklovers. Over the last 40 years it has become a comfortable refuge during busy visits to London. Though it has had to adapt to modern marketing, it still offers an abundance of tactile media. History permeates the walls. Staff are knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Plan for a day of browsing.
Happened to cross by and went in after work...best hour spent in a bookshop! The little benches and seating areas give it a library vibe and the selection of books are pretty good. Only been to Ground and Lower Ground floors and it was amazing. Would definitely go again.
Foyles have amazing staff! Great customer service. If you want a book and it’s not available, 99% of the time they can order it for you! The 1% is that it’s no longer in production. My go to Bookshop! They even have an awesome Cafe on level 5! Did I mention that the staff are super cool?! Always helpful! I love the fashion and comic section! Amazing! Not to mentioned the LG with the children section! They have so many great books and toys, a god send if you’re a primary school teacher! Ps, they have amazing stationary and diaries/ notebooks!
My favourite bookshop in London. So many good books regarding world affairs and world history. Extensive academic journals as well as personal accounts, always very informative and helpful staff. Lovely cafe which is however frequently overcrowded. Could probably use expanding out the entire room of the cafe for extra seating.
