Beautiful place, especially when the sun is out. You'll need to cross a stream using stepping stones and also leap across a series of smaller streams along the way. The ground can be quite muddy and wet, but there's also a lot of loose gravel, so sturdy shoes are a must. If you're well prepared and dressed appropriately, it's a gorgeous place to visit.

Clear pools between rushing falls and sedate stretches of water. An excellent walk down into, then up through a valley filled with natural beauty. If you happen to be mobility impaired though, it's not ideal as there is at least two stream crossings that a moderately difficult for most. Great views from the car park as an alternative though, so very much worth the visit.

Beautiful walk along the stream on easy path. Waterfalls and tiny pools. The stream has to be crossed without a bridge. Watertight shoes recommended. Some brave souls bathed in the stream - outside temperature in August was around 16C and the water is much cooler. Beautiful scenery with jagged mountain peaks in the background. Send at least 90 minutes.

One of the easiest hiking in Portree. You will need £5 (in cash) for the parking. You can do 3 paths from the parking. The easiest one is in front of you when you leave the parking. Just enjoy the views, and the "pools". Everyone can do it (child, adults, old person) You can also easily go into the water if you feel yourself brave enough. If you still have enough energy you can do deeper in the mountain and enjoy even more fantastic views. If you're on Skye, you should definitely go to the fairy pools.

The feature of the pools themselves are gorgeous, however the ant trail of people going up to them in summer is awful. Now that is has become known it is just too busy during the normal season so definitely go out of season. The car park also seems to be capitilising on the popularity at £5 a car but if you don't mind a little extra walking there is a free car park up the hill before you descend that you can use.
