City Walls, Chester CH1 2JH, UK
A great walk around the walls in the morning when it wasn’t too warm or busy. Really interesting signs to read, great to drop on and off the walls to different sites. Great way to get a feel for historic Chester. We wanted to have a stroll on the walls during our visit to Chester but we simply couldn't get enough of them.
I've always loved the many different views from the walls in Chester. A different perspective of the city. Several places along the way are so peaceful, giving time for rest stops maybe. I recommend this walk to anyone who would like an inspiring and leisurely way to explore Chester.
Great for a walk. Very scenic. Currently slot of repair work being done but u just have to miss out small sections. Well worth a visit
A great way to see Chester is by either walking around the Roman walls or by going on one of the City Sightseeing bus tours. A Roman walled city adjacent to the River Dee and former harbour. We walked a small piece of the wall after visiting the falconry. It is an easy walk and takes you past a few good stopping points and easy access to the town.
Great way to see the city of Chester. Most of the time you are away from the traffic. Good view of the racecourse and it's free!
