Beautiful grounds worth exploring for 45-90m. Entrance fee is rather modest, 7 pounds I believe. Well marked areas with different fauna and experiments to explore. Be sure to check out the green houses across the north, they are beautiful and have some terrific plants! Definitely would recommend. FYI you cannot bring bikes in.
Fantastic place to visit at any time of the year. Inside and outside. It also has a fantastic cafe. You can easily spend a morning or afternoon here. This place does get busy in the summer months but it's well worth waiting for. Please enjoy.
Varies depending on the time of year but that means frequent visitors can see the gardens evolve throughout the year. I would have liked to see more labeling of plants in the gardens but most are, especially in the greenhouses. I think they could also do more to encourage bee and insect conservation to enhance knowledge/awareness
We visited in February, which perhaps isn't the optimum for a botanical garden, but there was plenty of interest. A sunny, crisp day with interesting trees and good information in the various flower beds (and the fens). I liked the historical timeline flowerbed particularly. Would go again in February, but would be interested to go in the summer too!
Great find. Beautiful garden. Not too large, but lots of interest. We had a really enjoyable 3 hours there. Highly recommended.
