St John's College, St Johns St, Cambridge CB2 1TP, UK
I agree with another review written here: it's a nice bridge, but I'm still not sure why it's singled out as one of the things you must see in Cambridge. It's perhaps because it's out of the way and takes effort to get to, so not everyone bothers and therefore it's a bit more exclusive so that makes it more attractive to the masses. I was lucky enough to be on the bridge this year looking at all the punts in the water learning about the history of the place.
I have to say, I wonder how this bridge became one of the defining features of Cambridge. It is a nice bridge - a very nice bridge. But why it's singled out as one of the things you MUST see is a bit beyond me. Frankly, I wouldn't go out of my way to see the Bridge of Sighs; there are dozens of more impressive sights to see.
Beautiful and historic part of Old England. We stayed in St John's College and could see the Bridge from our bedroom. We also had a good view of the punters in the boats.
One of the many bridges in Cambridge across the river Cam which is famous because it shares is name with the one in Venice. Best viewed while punting.
Viewed this bridge whilst on a guided punting tour. We had tried to view it from the road but understand it is best visible from the river, as it is not accessible to members of the public to see and cross.
