You will be meet your guide at CHAO hostel, 8th floor Siam@Siam building. The local guide will you lead to visit lively Chinatown Bangkok by bus. Set off on foot to explore this historic area’s shops, temples, and markets. Start walk along the Song Wad Street where loaded of whole sell products/goods, then go through ‘Sampeng market’ , the first wholesale market in Bangkok.
Continue walk cross Yao Wa Rat Street where it seems like the jewelry trade center. You will see the endless row of gold, jewelry and accessory stores. Then we will walk through the small alley as the Chinese herbs market. And why not? you may try some authentic herbal drink.
Then across the first street of Bangkok, Charoen Krung Street to visit Wat Mangkon Kamalawat , the most important Chinese Buddhist temple in Bangkok. There is the load of the story of beliefs and faithfulness for both of Thai- Chinese people. Then we walk down a narrow alley off Bangkok’s oldest street to discover how the vibe Chinese community. People of Charoen Chai Community have handcrafted traditional Chinese joss paper products for over a century. These include the shiny gold and red envelopes used for gift-giving during Chinese lunar new year, yellow flags and food trays that mark the annual vegetarian festival, and the elaborate paper offerings that grace traditional Chinese funerals.
