Good Italian food, friendly staff and service. The pastas are especially good, with a range of fresh, dried and home made. Daily specials are varied and enticing. An extensive menu. I have not tried their pizzas, but they certainly look good.
Very good italian style pizzas (maybe called neapolitan style? In any case, it's not thick Chicago/American style pizza). Service is attentive, well mannered, and speaks English. Nice atmosphere too. Just a tad pricey, but I guess you have to pay more if you want better western food and service here in Thailand.
This restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere. The food is freshly cooked. You can see your pizza being prepared and then cooked in the brick oven at the front of the restaurant. The staff are very attentive. They have a wide range of wines and a good selection of beers.
Full disclosure... I am obsessed with this place in an unhealthy way. The best Thai food I have ever had in my life was in Orlando, Florida. How does that make sense living in Thailand? Well, my favorite Italian food is in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Not only is Why Not absolutely delicious with the most authentically amazing pizza in the world, but the service is world-class. Where other restaurants feel really stiff and inauthentic, Emidio and his staff are helpful, friendly, and never afraid to share lots of stories about Italy and the origins of his very impressive wine. The best bang for the buck is grabbing up the wine club membership. If you want a good meal without the fluff of the other top-rated places in Chiang Mai, this is it. Enjoy the cheeses, pizzas, and in my opinion, the only good wine served in Thailand.
Nice food and cozy atmosphere! Tried pasta and pizza and they were both good. They also offer gluten-free pasta (not pizza)
