Amazing Elephant sanctuary that also includes hundreds of rescue dogs. Great staff that really care for and dedicate their lives to these rescued animals. The rescued Elephants have incredible back stories, including a couple that lost a foot after stepping on landmines. Great mission. Great people. Great time.
This is the real deal. Did an extensive research on the topic. Many parks nowadays offer "no riding" experience but they have only 5 elephants, so they overwork them in taking "baths" for tourists. In this park the main objective is conservation, with tourism as a necessary evil to fund the activities. Even so, it's a very enjoyable and valuable experience. Highly recommended
Amazing place where these gentle giants are free and there's no "riding" or force to do anything. We got to feed them, pet them, bathe them and walk them through lots of land. Such a beautiful experience and so heartwarming to see the bond they share with the family who lives here, taking care of them. They're treated well and it's very apparent. 💖 The tour was simply amazing and the meal was DELICIOUS!!
I wish I could live here! To be able to feed, wash and walk amongst these beautiful animals was an experience that will not be forgotten. We were blessed to have been able to meet out in the fields the owner who has dedicated her life for all the elephants and all other living creatures. I hope tourists will realize it is NOT OK to ride on elephants.
FANTASTIC! I absolutely loved visiting the Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai. This is one such place where they do truly care and look after the recovery of abused and tortured elephants, there is no riding or exploitation of these beautiful animals. If you want to go to a place that helps elephants in Thailand, this is it. You get to feed the elephants, watch them bathe and learn about their recovery in their natural setting - they roam freely. The site itself serves a fantastic vegetarian lunch and provides a comforting place to relax and see the elephants. I'd highly recommend visiting!
