Doi Suthep, Suthep, Mueang Chiang Mai District, Chiang Mai 50200, Thailand
Try going there before sunset !
Nice place~!^^
A must see place in Chiang Mai. The view, weather is nice. The temple is amazing. You don’t need to climb up the stairs. U can take a lift to the up just by paying extra 20 Baht. The entrance fee is 30 baht.
The most beautiful temple in Chiang Mai! You can come here by bus (From the old city wall till the zoo) and from there take a Tuk Tuk to the temple. Doing so you will save a lot of money. When you arrive you have a choice to go up by elevator (20Baht) or stairs (not that hard). The entrance fee to the temple is 30Baht. The temple itself is very beautiful although it is crowded. From there you can have an amazing view of Chiang Mai city.
Amazing temple. Make sure you go inside and ask a monk for a blessing (it's completely free ofcourse). Getting to the top requires either a 1000 Baht two way taxi or go to the waiting area (taxi drivers will know what you mean) and take a Songtuew which costs 60-80 Baht two way. I took the latter route and the journey is relatively comfortable. The only downside is you need to wait for others to fill the van. At the top you can either take around 300 stairs or take a cheap around 30 Baht two way chair lift. Again I suggest taking the chair lift up and the stairs down for the best of both worlds. Don't climb the stairs as it will needless tire you out. The temple itself is pretty big and if you walk around it you can see the city. In the temple you will also find sheets of yellow cloth where you can write your name with a marker and those of your loved ones for good luck (the cloth is then hanged up). There are no restaurants up top so pack lunch from your hotel. There are cheap coconut juice vendors outside the temple though. The artifact vendors are also very willing to negotiate a price so this is a good place to buy some souvenirs.
