Chang Moi Sub-district, Mueang Chiang Mai District, Chiang Mai 50100, Thailand
An amazing array of goods on display for tourists to gawk at, bargain and purchase if they chose to. We didn't experience any unpleasant vendors. Be prepared to walk as the shopping area is really huge and we covered only a fraction of it in 2 hours. Lots of places to rest and rejuvenate along the way. Dress cool as the warmth get rather stifling within the stalls. We had fun and got all our presents.
A good place to spend a few hours in the evening. There are plenty of eating joints, pubs and bars and shops that sell souvenirs to household stuff. The sellers are very kind and gentle unlike few other cities (won't take names) where they are generally rude. If you bargain, sellers are kind enough to settle at a price or if not they are able to reject your offer with a smile or their face and wishing you a good trip. :-)
We had a great time here. The food is amazing and is cheaply priced. I have been thinking of the cashew chicken ever since I ate it... Everything has so much flavor here. Atmosphere is laid back and there is live music. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Chiang Mai for food and souvineers. Plenty of shops and good prices to be had.
A great market to buy your souvenirs, clothes, food, electronics or just about anything you need. Both sides of the street are lined with stalls, selling just about anything. There is a nice relaxing atmosphere. The Thais are friendly and are open to haggling. The streets are also well serviced by restaurants and food courts, as well as some entertainment venues in the area.
It's a very unique place to do shopping and experiencing thai food on the streets. Lot of fun, music, different foods and the great thing is that people itself making the things in their shop and instant selling those staff... just enjoyed. Most importantly people are very humble and welcoming
