Really interesting place, but really out of the way from Chiang Mai City. Great place to go if you have time to spare. We spent about an hour there enjoying the waterfalls. There are 3 levels of the waterfall. We didn’t try climbing down but we had great fun climbing up. Good to bring your bug spray.
Really fun experience to walk down the stairs first and then climb up over the waterfalls. Some of the upper parts may be a little more slippy so don't underestimate that. We only had 1 hour before closing time but that gave us enough time to explore the complete waterfall. A bit more time may make the whole visit more comfortable though.
It is an interesting place where the stone in the waterfalls not slippery that you can even walk through all the stone and enjoy the cool water. The shape of the waterfalls also beautiful and very unique in a huge and quiet area. Make sure you bring the swimsuit to enjoy the nice water here
Bua Tong Waterfall also known as the sticky waterfall is a must see.Frankly, I am not a very adventurous person and I wasn't very confident initially when I had read some mixed reviews about the waterfall. But I personally feel it is very safe. The rocks are non slippery and have a easy grip. However there are some areas where it can get a bit slippery but there are signages which specify that it is a slippery zone and one can skip it. The slippery zones have a rope which one can hold on to while climbing. There waterfall has 5 levels. There is also an option to climb up or down using the stairs. There are 2 open food areas near the parking area. There are few lockers where you can store your bags. There is also a small natural pool for kids at the starting point. While parking your bikes be careful as the area is a bit mucky and get slippery.
Very nice, charming place. Purely. Good access. Beautiful views and an unforgettable adventures climbing the slope of the mountain directly in the middle of the waterfall. Good chance to spend time with wild nature.
