Amazing place with awesome exhibitions. Modern art at it's best. If you truly want to see reserve an entire day for you and your family or friends. Sometimes the queue to buy tickets it's huge so "just in case" buy them online to skip the waiting
On a Sunday it's free after 1.30pm. There was a queue but moved fast. If you want to see the temporary exhibition you cannot do that during free hours. Those levels are closed but we wanted to see the Guernica so it wasn't an issue. Lots of people but I think it's always like that. I enjoyed it. Place for you if you like art.
This museum has a marvellous collection of modern art. My personal favourites include a number of paintings by Salvador Dali and especially Pablo Picasso. I've only visited the museum on a couple of occasions, but Guernica has left me awestruck on both of those. It's very well worth a couple of hours (and much longer if you can spare the time). Entry to the museum is regularly free of charge on evenings of some days of the week and a few full days of the year (their website contains the details).
Loved this place. The modern art and various exhibitions are so thought provoking and awe inspiring. I also love the architecture here. Don't miss the amazing stairwell.
Great museum. They had a lot of temporary exhibits, some I didn’t understand. They have a good collection of Picasso but sadly no photos were allowed on the good ones. Enjoyed the visit anyway. We started on the top floor (fourth) and worked our way down. We took a break and had lunch at a nearby restaurant then returned to the museum.
