What to expect?

We kick off this tour with a pickup at one of the starting points in Ljubljana. First we will walking around Bled castle which was built in 12th century. The castle is perched on top of an inclined cliff above the beautiful glacial lake Bled which gives some extra ordinary and breath-taking views of the Bled island, surrounding mountains and of the lake itself.

Take a boat ride with Pletna on a traditional boat made by a Slovenian local carpenter. This boat ride will not only take you through the stunning picturesque locations to the Bled islet but also take you back in time to show you true authentic Slovenian culture. Next you will experience a rushing waters of Vintgar Gorge, which measures 1750yd and ends with 42-feet waterfall Sum which is an equally great option with picturesque sceneries. The Bled's Vintgar leaves an impression on every visitor. Its steep depths, vertical walls, rapid river beneath, vegetation and the largest waterfall in Slovenia are all there to impress you.

After this we head on to Bohinj, which is the largest glacial lake located in the Triglav National Park. You can walk around it, swim (during summer) or canoe. The lake shows a different face every season and you will surely be impressed by any of its face depending on the season you arrive.

Make sure you also try the all famous, notoriously popular Bled cream cake and exquisite sour milk without fail.Then after that walk along through the medieval town in Skofja Loka which is situated under the castle and monastery for an unique experience, which will get this exciting trip to a close and will arrive back to Ljubljana.
