Metelkova ulica 10, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia
We strolled through the Metelkova zone at an early stage a Sunday morning when the tidying up from the prior night was simply starting. There is one of a kind work of art all over the place and in each medium you can envision. While I don't know I would need to be there when the celebrating is in progress, it is certainly worth a stroll through, especially beautiful in a good sunny weather.
During the day it is interesting art gallery, you'll meet some locals and lots of tourists. But at night there us different world, but our experience is very positive. The locals are nice, clever people, always happy to talk about local history. They also know lot about Czech culture and share the knowledge. We totally recommend it. Thank to all locals for the lovely experience.
This place is as crazy and wild as it is beautiful! Loved every moment spent there. A unique place with lots of street art and very kind and welcoming locals who will gladly talk to you about the history of this art center.
Great art in this area, i would highly recommend visiting here. We heard bad reviews of people feeling that the area was sketchy but we felt safe the whole time here. Only downside of visiting was it was there is not much around here, but the city is quite small so does not take long to get there.
Artist colony/cultural center with gorgeous street art. Both great to visit during the day and (if you aren't a wuss and like good music) during the night. Cheap beer and fun people.
