What a marvelous place to visit on the center mountain of Ljubljana. Decided to walk the path up and down. Many sights to see from different heights. Castle was as advertised. Much old history inside with costumes, armor, swords, and prison. The view from top of castle was stunning as a post card view of capital and miles in all directions.

Liked it, nicely preserved castle with some good stories. Gives a good insight into Slovenian history. There was a nice exhibition on Slovenian castles, which is a good way to find more castles and ruins that you can visit in Slovenia (if you're into that). View over Ljubljana is fantastic. Bit crowded and not a big fan of the audio-guides.

A must see. The cable car is merely a nice gimmick, but it also gives you entrance to the castle "for free", so do take it. From the tower with it's confusing but genius double helix stairs you'll have an amazing view over the city and the land surrounding it. As with most cities, this is probably best enjoyed at sunset. There's a lot you can learn about Ljubljana history, and a restaurant if you're hungry.

It's a small place to visit. You can hike up or take the electric train. The train costs 3 euros each bit a lot easier. Especially if you have young kids or older adults. The views from the tower are really nice. Also make sure you give enough time to get the tickets as Simeon's the queue can be kind and the box office is small.

The castle offers a nice view of the city. Nevertheless, from the historical perspective, this site does not provide much: there are no objects and finding related to the place. However, I found really interesting the temporary expositions.
