My boyfriend really liked this place. I also did. He ordered food there and loved the sauce. Because he is American and they have apparently good American sauce? Drinks were okay. A bit expensive but it's understandable because the bar is located in the middle of the city.

This goes down as the best find of our trip! It starts of quite tame and chill when it first opens for the night then kicks into gear after about 4 double gin and tonics! Class music, all the usuals and the DJ is more than happy to play requests! Lots of beautiful rockers knocking about too.

We went to Barrock on a Monday night. We were looking at the food menu outside while a waitress was looking at us from a few inches away. She said (in very poor English) if we wanted to sit outside or inside. We asked later for another drinks menu and she simply said no. She also later told us that the kitchen was closed (apparently it’s always closed on Mondays, we found out later). She was throughout the whole stay extremely impolite and when we paid, she even asked me if taking one euro as tip was okay. Really bad experience.

A bit higher prices reflecting the location and orientation, good selection of food and drinks, service is good as well. What kills is the ridiculous volume of music. Relative small rooms, each with its own speakers is not only painfull for your ears, but makes any conversation impossible. Its hard to communicate with the staff as well. If you dont care about hearing loss and conversation, consider 3, maybe 4 stars.
