Very friendly service, and great food! The starters were really fresh and tasty, and tender meat served from an open kitchen with smiling chefs - the decor of the place is very appealing. Our waiter was attentive and made excellent wine pairings by the glass for the food. He also took the time for a chat while we had a drink instead of dessert, and gave us recommendations for where to go for the next stops on our holiday. Prices are, considering the quality, very reasonable. We will definitely come back if we’re back in Bucharest.

Our experience mimics the other recent experiences of not so experienced staff, poorly executed drinks, long waits and food with too many dishes not available. The best part of the food was their bread and butter which was an experience worthy of their ambitions. Other than that we had the duck egg which was decent, but no flavour explosion; the trout was just uninspiring and most of the charcuterie board was chewy, though had some flavours. The main courses were the pork neck (okay, only slightly dry), sturgeon (dryish and lack of taste other than from salt), pigeon (okay if slightly on the rare side even for pigeon) and musk of lamb (first time served far from warm reminding me of a steak I had in Cuba in 2004 (Cuba at least at the time was not known for good food), second attempt better though). Clearly the restaurant has ambitions and their guests expect them to deliver based on their (steep) prices. Unfortunately they are very far from doing so. I now regret my politeness resulting in accepting their added 12% service charge to a bill that felt very poor value for our experience. As a visitor to Romania it is not just about the money, but the missed chance of a good food experience. Even at half the price, I would happily have passed on meal. The rating reflects the price. Had the bill been 1/3 of what we paid I would have given it a 3 or 4 as I then would have been more accepting for all the shortcomings and enjoyed what is a quite nice ambiance.

Interesting concept, but the service & food lacks in quality considering the location and price! We waited nearly 3 hours for the food to be served...then when it arrived it’s was very disappointing!! Over seasoned, steak was not done well, chicken was undercooked...sad to say but this place is overrated and terrible in many ways, there are so many better places than this in Bucharest!
