Stop at: Praia de Garajau, Canico, Madeira, Madeira Islands
The dive spot of Garajau is the most visited by divers and is located less than 100 meters from the coast, just in front of the beach with the same name. It's a must-see dive full of life, diversity, and abundance. Although close to the coast, the descent begins in the water column up to 22 meters deep where the bottom is constituted by sand and loose rock. Sometimes we can see the bottom from the surface, given the magnificent visibility in these waters.
As soon as we descend, we can observe shoals of various species such as bogas, trumpets, horns, and bents. When we get to the bottom we are greeted by the giant groupers, which resides in Garajau & are very friendly with divers.
