Continue to an altitude of 1095 meters at the Eira do Serrado Viewpoint of the Câmara de Lobos. Sample a traditional chestnut cake and some sweet ginja (sour cherry liqueur) in the village, before driving back towards Funchal.
Climb up to the settlement of Monte, visit the beautiful church, and go for a ride on one of the toboggan runs.
