Departing from Coimbra this half-day group tour takes you to the beautiful shrine of Fatima, one of the Marian Shrines most important Catholic churches in the world. This tour also includes a visit to the Cova da Iria, the basilicas of Our Lady of the Rosary and Holy Trinity.
The Shrine of Fatima is, par excellence, a place of Christian pilgrimage and Catholic devotion, preserving the memory of the events that led to its foundation, namely the apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima to three shepherd children - Lucia dos Santos, Francisco and Jacinta Marto - in 1917.
Its magnitude and importance of the religious point of view have been widely recognized nationally and internationally. At the express wish of the Holy Apostolic See, this is a national shrine.
