Take in a full day of cycling across the Dão lands and river, which provides a pleasant downhill experience as you soak up all the sights!
After hotel pickup, we take direction to activity start. The station of Viseu is the beginning of this journey. Where it intersected the Beira Alta Line, the Dão Line would still pass through Tondela, crossing the Dão lands and by side with Dão River, until reaching Santa Comba Dão. From here it would connect to the Vouga Line that would establish the connection to Aveiro interconnecting with the Line of the North.
The Ecopista do Dão was developed along the old Dão railway branch, with an extension of 49.2 km and crosses the stations of Vildemoinhos, Tondelinha, Travassós, Figueiró, Mosteirinho, Torredeita, Farminhão, Parada de Gonta, Sabugosa, Tondela, Tonda, Treixedo.
This infrastructure integrates the national network of Ecopistas that will be articulated among themselves through other green corridors for the promotion of nature tourism and cultural and landscape tours.
