One of the most beautiful architecture I have ever seen in my life. If there is one place that you have to see in Portugal this would be it. Make sure to take the audio tour, it was well worth the 12 euros. Take your time, don't rush it, this is a full day adventure. I suggest renting your own car than taking a tour simply because you won't have the time to see all of it if you take a group tour. You will feel like you just came out of a magical world when you are done. ENJOY!!!

Easily the best castle we visited in Sintra from start to finish. We were sure to arrive early in the morning since we knew it was going to get increasingly crowded as the day went on. The ticket buying process was extremely quick and easy and before we knew it we were off to see the well. The well itself is as incredible as it looks in pictures. It looks so unsuspecting from the outside but once you’re in the middle of it you can really appreciate how amazing it is. The tunnel at the end of the well was a fun surprise as were the waterfall and stepping stones. The grounds of the palace were fantastic to walk around and there are many of fun trails and caves to explore. It felt like being in a fantasy movie walking around there. This is not a castle to miss during your visit.

Very awesome park with many things to see, you can easily be here two hours or more. You can enjoy the scenery and can use every little path there is to explore everything in this big garden. Old ruins, waterfalls, a 27 miter pit you can go down and many more things. You can also visit the first floor of the mansion but that is the least interesting thing here. You need to walk from the historical part of sintra for around 15 minutes up the hill, but it is absolutely worth the walk!

Beautiful place, filled with Portuguese history and culture. The caves are amazing and breath taking. The rooms in the Palace are beautiful and very classy. The kitchen was magnificent and you can even see the original cooking pots! The gardens were straight out from a fairy tail with all the beautiful flowers and trees in there. The price, even though it looks steep, it's not high at all if embrace the experience, and you have to have in consideration the maintenance of the place. Overall a very pleasant place for a visit or a romantic getaway.

Fantastic trip! We visited after going to the Moorish Castle and Pena Palace. It definitely has a good amount of walking but the places on the map are closer together than they appear. This place is so unique and is a must-do for anyone visiting Sintra!
