Campo de Santa Clara, 1100-472 Lisboa, Portugal
A big flee market on partly very steep roads. Worth a visit, but many stalls have kind of the same things. You can find food there also, so it is nice for an afternoon, but it is normally very crowded because it is absolutely a tourist attraction.
It’s a very nice market and I throughly enjoyed both walking around in it and checking out what they got, as well as doing some souvenir shopping. There’s also a place with good ice cream there, and the entrance gate is also interesting. Better to go earlier to avoid the crowd.
Wonderful flea market with vendors for blocks. Pick one direction and work your way around. I'm sure you can find something unique that you will love.
**Portuguese guides advise against buying tiles here as they may be stolen.** So many stalls! Many with stuff I wasn’t interested in (batteries, phones, etc). Some with great treasures. As an American, I had a great experience at all but one stall (I was given a price 10x what the Portuguese man in front of me paid for the same item). Otherwise - mix of art, antiques, home goods. I got 2 brass figurines, a salad bowl that was selling for much more in local shops, and a 107 year old novelty post card- all that are worth more than I paid, so I’m happy. Bring euros as may shops don’t take cards.
I went on a Saturday and it is located near the national pantheon. Everything from professional store front setting up tents to people bringing garage sale items and setting them up on blankets as if they were having a garage sale outside of the monuments. Definitely a place to buy your trinkets and anything else you might want
