The walk up isn't as bad as some have made it out to be. As long as you're able bodied it's fine. There was a large queue to get in but it moved surprisingly quickly. Once you're inside the site is large enough that it doesn't appear crowded. It's a beautiful area and the views of Lisbon and the Tagus are breathtaking. Plenty to see but the exhibition was a bit sparse.

Incredible castle and a must see. Amazing views of all of Lisbon and beyond. Full of tourists and that is what gives it a nice buzz. The castle is located in a great area too full of little streets, cafes and restaurants. Seriously if you visit Lisbon, you MUST visit this castle. You won't be disappointed.

This castle is very interesting (although maybe not that massive, but still a lovely place to visit) - make sure to check the opening hours; once inside, you can browse around and it is really nice to visit the different areas. The external terrace looking over the bridge is also blessed by a lovely sunset hence if you time it right you might enjoy a lovely view! Otherwise, enjoy walking around this great spot of the city

Spectacular views of all of Lisbon. I sadly didn’t have much tome to explore all of what it has to offer, but was able to make my way around pretty quickly and easily and take some pretty amazing photos along the way! Would have loved to do a proper tour of this place but I ran out of time. I love how well the castle has been preserved so that people can still enjoy it today.
