Visit the desert oasis of Huacachina on a full-day tour from Paracas, including a stop at a winery that makes wine and pisco in the traditional way, where you'll get to sample to the local drinks. Then, head to Ica for a city tour and learn all about the ancient cultures that used to inhabit the area. Finally, head to the lagoon where you can stroll around or take a dune buggy up the large sand dunes.

You will be picked up from your hotel in Paracas in a private vehicle, heading towards the city of Ica (1-hour drive). On this traditional tour to Huacachina, you will visit the best of this beautiful city, such as the traditional vineyard, where you will have the opportunity to taste some of the wines sourced from them, along with a sampling of the locally famous "Pisco", the national drink of Peru. Stopping at a few bodegas, you will learn more about the history and creation of Pisco.
Later, you will visit the Cathedral of Senor de Luren, the Main Square of Ica, and the Regional Museum, an interesting building that houses the remains of ancient cultures that developed on the southern coast, including the Paracas, Nazca, Chincha, Wari, and other Inca cultures.
Afterwards we will drive southwest towards to the Huacachina Oasis, a beautiful lagoon surrounded by palm trees and huge sand dunes, providing a spectacular view of the Ica Valley and the desert. Here you will be able to climb the sand dunes and enjoy one of the ultimate experiences in the desert, the famous dune buggy tour.
