Valkendorfsgaten 6, 5012 Bergen, Norway
As the name stands for, they are monopolizing the alcohol retails in the whole Norway! Thus, yes you're right, prices are also adjusted to their monopoly power. The only good thing is that one knows that there is no possibility to supply his/her alcohol out of this shop as normal grocery stores only sell drinks with maximum 4.7% alcohol.
Excellent selection of bag in box wines. Not to big but very nice selection of wines from around d the world. I was surprised to see how big ok f global wine selection they had. Recommended for wine hunters......
Good selection. One of the few places that still have a knowledgeable staff. Shame that alcohol is insanely expensive in Norway.
Booze shop. What do you want?!
A must visit for anyone looking for good beer, wine or spirits whilst visiting Bergen. Alcohol regulations in Norway are extremely strict and are monopolised by the state and as such you won't find much in supermarkets (nothing above 4.7% abv) There are 2 vinmonopolet in Bergen both with excellent selections but beware of the opening hours, they tend to close mid afternoon.
