Georgernes Verft 12, 5011 Bergen, Norway
An old sardine canning factory a little away from central Bergen. It has been re-purposed as an arts complex and has live bands as well as its own cinema. I liked the building in its own right and its location on the edge of the fjord. There’s a cafe there too.
Came here for the Natt Jazz festival in Bergen recently. Nice place, facilities seem great. We came in the early afternoon, when they had yet to open, so left shortly after without seeing any gigs. There was an outdoor area set up outside, for drinks and food, with a nice view of the port. Seems like a cool place to host an art even like this.
A cultural centre located in an old sardine canning factory. Visited on a weekend during Summer and the place is uncrowded. The restaurant has a panoramic view of the harbour but food at the restaurant did not look appealing. There is an outdoor bar stocked with a large variety of drinks. There was an abstract & bizzare art performance taking place outside the building during our visit. Expect 15-20 mins walk from the city centre.
A little confusing with how the building is laid out but great sound and awesome concert
Biggest cultural venue in Bergen. Nice cafe/pub. Historical building - Industrial but modern style. Many great events with local and international artists!
