One of the best botanical gardens I have visited. Though I am not a botanist, I was amazed by the effort put in maintaining the garden. The garden is divided into different sections based on the continent. In each section, plants and shrubs from the respective continents are planted. Most of the species are those which grow in cold climate, I guess. There are billboards for each species describing the scientific name, place of origin, and common name in Norwegian. It would have been better if English names were present. Overall it was a very nice experience

I was There at The Good weather of course and also I love botanical gardens. This one was really nice. A lot od people resting, but not disturbing each Other. So Good place to stay for a bit and have a nap 😎

Beautiful gardens, although maybe past the prime flower season at the moment (late July). Lots of sculptures to discover as well, and I love the attention given to insects and animals throughout the park. Also a big plus that the gardens are entirely child friend, with hide outs, obstacle courses, and lots more. If you are bringing kids, make sure to visit the Viking garden! The café serves good food, but you can also bring your own food and enjoy it on one of the benches or on the picnic lawn. Worth a visit!

We took the guided tour with a lady from Belgium. She was very nice and gave us interesting information about the garden rather taking about particular plants. I recommend to visit it because it is one of the free things to do in Oslo and because it is beautiful.

Admirable! I really appreciate the effort of the contributors for create and preserve a variety of plant species like that. And it's free. Beautiful landscape! Absolutely love it!
