Brynjulf Bulls plass 1, 0250 Oslo, Norway
Great place if you want to learn quickly something about international history. Great exhibition for free. We had a free guided tour for 30 min. Was very interesting! Also great for kids. Highly recommend!
We landed in here spontaneously and were lucky enough to get a tour. The guide was excellent and extremely knowledgeable about past winners and the events that connected them together. Linking the historical eras by the prize winners was fascinating and learning more about newer laureates was very educational. I would highly recommend visiting!
Our expectations sadly were not matched. We would have loved even some more information on the nominees in general. Our expectations in mind, the center has a nice exhibition about the contemporary nominees. Additionally there is room for another exhibition. Every Nobel peace prize receiver is shortly depicted as well as the process of selecting him or her.
I enjoyed this place for its historical and peaceful significance. Every part of it exudes serenity. One does not need to agree with the choice of laureates to appreciate the visit. They have a small section selling very interesting books, so I strongly advise avid readers or book collectors not to miss out this section.
This is the perfect place to stop off while you investigate the many shops and restaurants along the very pretty front. A bit different to a normal museum as it can be very thought provoking and may make you change your ideas on certain things. You can spend a couple of hours here easy, but it's all stuff you won't find anywhere else and it's full of ideas and view points that will make you think.
