Lofoten, Norway
Lovely scenery during dusk. Try to drive through from one end to the other.
My paradise on Earth! Breathtaking, wild and magical. I grew up there and took it for granted until I moved away and realised how lucky I'd been to have spent the first 18 years of my life in a fairy tale place like Lofoten truly is. If it's not on your bucket list of places, it definitely should be!
Lofoten (Norwegian pronunciation: [ˈluːfuːtn̩]) is an archipelago and a traditional district in the county of Nordland, Norway. Lofoten is known for a distinctive scenery with dramatic mountains and peaks, open sea and sheltered bays, beaches and untouched lands. Though lying within the Arctic Circle, the archipelago experiences one of the world's largest elevated temperature anomalies relative to its high latitude.
Amazing 😍😍
So beautiful. I have no words for how we felt here in lofoten. The natural beauty is just overwhelming. We cannot recommend enough to go visit this place while it still is a slight remote vacation destination. Hikes are easily available. Grocery and gas in the towns. Hotels and hostels. It is a bit pricey up in northern Norway but so worth it!
