0150 Oslo, Norway
Don't miss WWII Resistance Museum. Lovely grounds to explore, stunning fyord views. At waterfront, easy to walk from City Hall, Nobel Peace Ctr or downtown Oslo. If you have time, tour the castle, a sharp contrast to other European castles.
A nice walk with a lot of history within the walls. The journey within the castle is worth the money. Be sure to get the little thing that tells the story as you walk around :)
It basically represents Oslo. A beautiful place must visit if you are in Oslo. Preferably during good weather, as most of it is open. The fort is quite big. It offers magnificent views of Oslo city from various sides. You can visit the defense museum which is right next to it.
I enjoyed the visit, there were some interesting and informative displays, many rooms to go through and old parts of the Fort to explore. The areas all around were a pleasant walk and views of the water good for photo shoots. I love history and old buildings so was a happy camper!
Free attraction except for parking there on weekdays. The guide stationed inside was very informative and let us scale the steep ladder into the cellar as a bonus. Good spot for a picnic on a nice day as overlooks bay and old wharf area.
