I was in love with this place hope to go back soon 🌴 it’s Paradise! Great hotel. The food was not bad but it’s more expensive then other places. Take a little walk through the town and you will find good places to eat. Yemaya Thank you for everything 🙏🏽🇳🇮

This place has so much potential, but it's wasted by poor management and operations. The rooms are beautiful and the location is amazing with a nice beach and the best snorkeling on the island. So I'd recommend staying here, but don't bother eating here. The food is four times the price of great local places like El Bosque, and the reservation method doesn't suit the low occupancy of the hotel right now, with restricted hours and limited offerings. Once tourism picks up again I hope things improve here. Eat next door at Fish Fry to save a few bucks and get better food in larger portions, or walk into town for some great local cuisine. The staff are nice and usually helpful, but all this place is good for is a comfy bed, hot showers and nice views.

This is truly a dream island resort. Beautiful white sand beach, wonderful accommodations, terrific food and very attentive staff.

Beautiful location with the best beach on the island. Rooms are wonderful as well. The reason for only two stars is because the food at the restaurant is absolutely terrible. The staff is also not very friendly. They also didn't show up at the panga boats to pick us up so we had to find a local person to call the resort and have them come get us. Since the location is very remote we had to go to the fish fry next door to eat or walk into town through the jungle. After two terrible and overpriced meals at the restaurant we refused to eat there anymore. The resort ships in all their food from off the island so it's not the authentic experience and the food is not fresh. I feel like they should locally source the food so that money goes back into the island economy. I had the worst cevice I've ever had here, stale bread for breakfast and dry, overcooked fish with cold rice. The place seems poorly run overall.

The only reason I am giving this place a 2 star rating is because the room was nice. From start to finish the staff was shockingly rude and lazy. Me and my boyfriend came there, he ultimately proposed to me on the beach, this was supposed to be a romantic getaway! They only serve food through certain limited hours and even then have a select menu that is very unaccomadating. My boyfriend is Vegan, when we told the staff this.. I think his name was Antwoine, this specific server went to the back of the bar and started cussing and speaking rude on my boyfriend, not knowing that we could understand every single word because my boyfriend is Carribean. The next day we decided that we no longer would give Yemaya restaurant our service because a 20 minute walk through mud into the other part of the island was better than dealing with waiters that rude. On our way back we decided to stop at the "Fish Fry Shack" that is right past the Yemaya restaurant to eat. When passing the Yemaya restaurant once again that same waiter came out of the restaurant and asked us if we were going to stay for dinner, we kindly said "No thanks". A girl server from Yemaya then runs after us, asking us when we are "Checking out" for the next day. I couldn't believe he was so bitter we wouldn't stay for dinner.. he actually had some girl chase us down asking us such a ridiculous and rude question. We ultimately decided to leave early at 6am and not 1:30pm because I think I would blow up if I am rudely approached again! So angry. Do NOT stay or eat here. Two other European girls that came with us on the Panaga boat shared the same rude behaviour from the staff at Yemaya and said the food was terrible. Glad we had enough sense not to eat there.
