This is without a doubt a world class art gallery. Unbelievable variety of styles, both local, European, modern, abstract, sculptures. Completely blew me away how much there was to see here. This is a must do if traveling through Central America and worth coming to Leon for this art gallery alone, whether you're an avid art lover or not. IMO if this gallery was in New York it would be a top five gallery to see. Paid $4.50USD for entrance as well a tour (not including tip). Offered in English as well.

Probably the finest #museum of #contemporaryart in all of #CentralAmerica, the Ortiz-Gurdián Collection has spilled over from its original home in Casa Don Norberto Ramírez,which was refurbished in 2000 to its original Creole Civil style, with Arabic tiles and impressive flagstones. The collection, spread across two buildings and surrounding greenery-filled courtyards, includes works by #Picasso, #Chagall, #Miró and a number of noted #Nicaraguan artists. #leonnicaragua #centroamerica #nicaragua #travelnicaragua

Exceptional art collection that is very diverse. Incredible garden setting for the galleries. Prepare to spend a few hours or visit twice.
