60 Cathedral Square, Christchurch Central City, Christchurch 8011, New Zealand
As a Sydneysiders from Australia, I can only wish that we have access to knowledge so beautifully done here. Well done Christchurch for actually caring about your children and your community. Absolutely beautiful library with an equally beautiful atmosphere to get engaged, engrossed and enchanted with books.
Great asset for the city building architecture shows a lot of thought and will fit well with what is around it. Building has a number of levels each for specific needs. Activity wall appears to be used a fair amount although at 1.3 million not a 100% sure of its value. Has cafes plenty of places to relax with good natural lighting.
Very modern building in Christchurch with a very good selection. Seats are plentiful and there is a good view on the upper floors as well. Fast free WiFi is also a bonus
Big and cozy. You can read foreign books here! Nice and kind staffs. I really like this place❤️🥰
How wonderful it is to have a good library back in our central city. It felt wonderful walking my son through the front door and leading him up the steps. I love the big windows that overlook the city and the light colours within the library. They've done an amazing job creating places that are fun to be in and I also love their selection of children books. We saw the CSO preform in a big function room and that was superb. Loved that they had a little cafe in it too. Can't wait to explore it further!
