Chance entry walking past and saw Rutherford’s Den exhibition. Excellent exhibition on Rutherford’s life and achievements - very inspirational!! Wonderful to visit the den where RUTHERFORD conducted experiments and the old lecture theatre with lots of names engraved into the timber over the years - could really picture what it would have been like back then.

Still mostly waiting for earthquake restoration. The outdoor market is on Sundays, and the Great Hall is now open.

Despite the fact that many of the galleries were not open to the public the buildings' architecture is still worth being looked at,The buildings have undergone restoration since the earthquake & are gradually been reopened to the public. A wonderful space for everyone.The shops have a good range of excellent quality gifts and NZ Made products.

Loved it. Awesome layout, funky stores, beautiful old building. Would be a 5 but accessibility wise there were only stairs (i know, old building) and the gallery was empty of exhibitions (although the signs were still there implying the last one was still there). Still cool. Market outside was super awesome, would definitely recommend that
