City Centre Rolleston Ave, Christchurch Central City, Christchurch 8013, New Zealand
The trees, the flowers and the ducks , what is there not to like! It's a wonderful place for everyone to enjoy, explore and have a picnic. There is plenty of space for kids to play and run around. The rose garden is spectacular in summer! I've have had many amazing and relaxing walks in this place either alone or with families and friends. The look changes with the seasons, no day is the same. I love exploring in autumn and spring when the place explodes with colour.
Excellent garden in the heart of the city next to the Canterbury Museum. The flowers, trees and shrubs and the birds seems are all nice. Some of the trees seems very old even more than hundreds of years old. I especially liked the roses which are spectacular. Paved and gravel paths all across the garden and you can immerse yourself in the nature for hours. Even the ducks seems friendly enough.
Christchurch Botanic Gardens have one of the best flowers the city has to got offer. Sunday family and friend lunches are very popular here because there is a lot of grass space. There are many ducks that roam around and often amuses the kiddies. There's also a park and pool for the kids to swim in and definitely during summer and spring it gets super busy but there's plenty of space to fit all. Also there is a tuck shop near the pool side and on the side there is a outdoor cafe which is situated in the best place to enjoy the sun. Also there is a little field going towards the museum and that usually hosts a little music events during the summer. There is plenty of parking but the road to the carpark is quite narrow but definitely a place worth seeing. Very beautiful.
Awesome and big botanical garden. Very well maintained, beautiful to stroll around and look at all the beauty. Especially liked the rose garden, even though it wasn't in bloom, we liked the peace and quiet in the sun.
Quite large and spaced out very pretty and peaceful looking though. Nice little haven amongst the hustle of the city. I like the fountains and flowers, the river and more. Hope to explore it more at some point . Also lots of places to sit and relax.
