New York: Things I Always Do

Sam:One of the best views in the city, and in my opinion, even better than the Empire State. You get panoramic views of NYC and can see both Central Park and get that Instagram worthy shot down Manhattan, with the Empire State Building taking centre place.

Sam:Priding itself as being the first Pizzeria in America, these giant slices of heaven won't disappoint. Tip: The pizzas a huge, so you can definitely share. Don't be put off by the slightly higher price point as you get a LOT for your money.

Sam:This became famous from Sex and the City, however the hype is real.I can't resist getting a sweet treat overtime I visit NYC. My favourite has to be the Caramel Banana Pudding.

Sam:The Backroom is one of the only original speakeasy's still in operation. The atmospheric venue feels like you've slipped back to the 1920's during the prohibition, sipping cocktails from teacups in the hidden, backstreet venue.

Sam:This is usually quite full of tourists however I absolutely love seeing NYC from the water. With views of the whole city, a hop on and off option, and getting to get up close to the Statue of Liberty, you get to see most of the famous New York skyline, whilst enjoying a trip along the hudson river and under some iconic bridges.

Sam:If shopping is your thing, check out the smaller Bloomingdales on Broadway, Soho. The picturesque shopping district is full of boutiques and well known labels, perfect for treating yourself or grabbing those souvenirs to take back home.

Sam:This neighbourhood has become one of the most popular spots, across the water from Manhattan, With plenty of photo ops, cute coffee shops and warehouse style buildings, Dumbo is a must do on any trip to NY - perfect for a chilled afternoon exploring the cobbled streets.

Sam:If you're a food lover (which I definitely am), then you'll love Chelsea Market. It's full of so many food stalls and booths, craft stores and handmade items. There's definitely something for everyone in here however my favourite has to be the Mint Iced Tea and Tacos from Takumi Taco's.

Sam:Another brilliant brunch spot. Saddle's do bagels like no other. They come by the tower, staking up bagels on a pole for you and your friends to enjoy, offering fillings on a tiered platter for the perfect brunch banquet.

Sam:A great evening spot to unwind and enjoy some love music or comedy. Some amazing acts have appeared here and you can often catch some well known names on the stage, as well as some new artists to enjoy whilst sipping your favourite cocktail after a bus day in the city.
